Morning Show, Wednesday-Friday 6am-10am
Saturday 70’s Show, 6pm-Midnight
Here’s a little more about Holly Wood!
Where did you grow up? Idaho and Minnesota when I was young, but I don’t think I REALLY ‘grew up’ until I was on my own and living out west in the 70’s and 80’s. On second thought, maybe I never really HAVE grown up – that’s very possible.
Where do you live now? Stanchfield, MN
How long have you worked in radio? In my MIND: Forever! In real life, on-air, um, first-timer!
Family members: Great Husband, grown daughter who is married to a fabulous guy and they’ve given us 3 super fun grandkiddos!
Pets: BIG BLACK LAB (with a lot more dogs in my future, I hope! :)
Favorite Foods: I LOVE and ADORE lobster (who knew such an ugly crustacean could taste so wonderful?! Guacamole and chips make me pretty happy – and I’ve never met a potato (in any form) that I didn’t like a whole bunch.
Favorite Movies: “Under The Tuscan Sun” – “The Holiday” – “Guess Who’s Coming to Dinner” – (anything with Spencer Tracy and Kathrine Hepburn) – “To Sir, With Love” – “A Star Is Born” with Kris Kristofferson & Streisand
Favorite Books: “Living Big” by Pam Grout – “Power of Positive Thinking” by Norman Vincent Peale. Honestly, there’s too many to mention! Sooo many books, so little time …
Favorite TV Shows: Currently, it’s “The Blacklist” and I do like “The Voice”
Favorite Car: 1962 T-Bird, 1973 Trans Am, Oscar Meyer “Weiner Mobile” (would THAT be a blast to drive or what ????)
Favorites Sports Team: Not much of a sports fan anymore – I liked the Vikings of the 70’s
Favorite Vacation Spots: Lake Tahoe, Santa Barbara, St. Maarten, and anywhere along the North Shore.
Best advice you ever got: You only get one chance to make a good first impression, so be yourself ~ it’s exhausting trying to be someone else.
Songs from the best times of your life: “Tonight’s the Night,” Rod Stewart – “Let’s Stay Together,” Al Green – “I Wanna Be Your Lover,” Prince – “Can’t Get Enough of Your Love, Babe,” Barry White – “I’ll Always Love You,” Taylor Dane – “Lovergirl,” Teena Marie – “Crazy For You,” Madonna – lots of Motown!
Words of wisdom: Be Kind. Trust your gut. The smallest act of caring can turn a life around. There’s never a good reason to be rude. You will do foolish things, but do them with enthusiasm!
