Distracted Driving Leads to Crash West of Princeton

A crash west of Princeton sent two people to the hospital Thursday night.


According to the Minnesota State Patrol, A Ford Focus was traveling eastbound on Highway 95 when it crossed the center and swerved to miss a vehicle making a left turn.


The Ford ended up colliding into a Toyota traveling westbound on 95 at the intersection of 180th Ave NE.


The driver of the Ford, a 20 year old male from Staples, MN, was transported to Saint Cloud ER with life-threatening injuries.


Distracted driving due to cell phone use is believed to be a cause for the crash, investigations are still ongoing.
