Two North Branch City Council members called for a closed special session on Jan. 24 for a performance evaluation of City Administrator Renae Fry.
According to the meeting’s agenda, council members Peter Schaps and Kelly Neider requested the evaluation. A summary of conclusions from Fry’s annual performance review had previously been read during the city council meeting on Dec. 13.
During the regular city council meeting on Jan. 24, Mayor Kevin Schieber announced a work session on Feb. 21 to discuss how to evaluate the city administrator in 2023, and to determine criteria for evaluation.
The council unanimously approved to authorize the city attorney to retain a third-party investigator to conduct a workplace evaluation and/or investigation.
Mayor Schieber and council member Robert Canada were also authorized to work with the city attorney to retain an organizational consultant.
