One man is in custody after he allegedly fired shots from inside his Forest Lake home around 9:00 Monday night.
According to the Forest Lake Times, authorities were called to the 900 block of 7th Street SE after a man, who was allegedly experiencing a mental health crisis, fired two shots and fled the scene.
The Forest Lake Police were assisted by swat teams from Washington, Chisago, and Ramsey counties in the search for the suspect.
The suspect eventually returned to the residence early Tuesday morning and surrendered peacefully to law enforcement.
The suspect is facing charges of second-degree assault, kidnapping, and reckless discharge of a firearm.
