Foley played Annandale in the Section 5AAA Championship game on Friday night.
The Falcons played on St Cloud Tech in a battle to go to state. They faced one of the top team in all of class AAA and a team who's defense was allowing an average of 4 points per game. But Foley's physicality was going to be a strong point in the game.

The Falcons came in as the 6th seed in section playoffs, but if you seen them at all you know they were much better than that. They had a chance to prove it on the road. Albany was gonna be a tough team to beat, coming in as the reigning section champs.

Bombers Fall in Semi-Finals
A new section for the Braham Bombers volleyball squad means new opponents as well. Braham met one of those opponents in the semi-final on Tuesday night. The six-seed Bombers earned the right to travel to White Bear Lake to face to two-seed Liberty Classical Academy Lions after defeating the third-seed, Heritage Christian Academy. North Branch Falls to Grand Rapids in Section Semi Final
North Branch hosted Grand Rapids on Monday night.
These two teams had played twice during the regular season, something that doesn't happen to often. The first meeting was in late August, when the Thunderhawks won the match in 5 sets. The next meeting was at a big tournament down in Burnsville, where Grand Rapids won 2-0. This time the Vikings got to host the match in a win or go home situation.

A beautiful Saturday afternoon was the backdrop for the Section 7A semifinal between Mountain Iron-Buhl and Braham. This was a rematch of these two teams. Bombers Advance After Victory Over Chisholm
Football playoffs started on Tuesday night all over the state of Minnesota. Chisholm traveled to Braham to face the Bombers in a 2-7 matchup in Section 7A. These two teams faced off earlier in the season with Braham coming away with the victory over the Bluestreaks. The game started with Braham taking control early. Scoring twice on the ground. It’s playoff time for volleyball in the state of Minnesota. Mora hosted Duluth Marshall in their first round match-up. This was the 3-6 meeting in the south sub-section in 7AA. Mora struck quick and often. Winning the first set 25-12. They followed with a 25-10 win in the second set.
