Milaca hosted Albany on Thursday night.
The Wolves came in riding a 9 game win streak, with only two more game in the regular season. They also have a small chance at getting the number 1 seed in the playoffs.
As play started both teams were kind of feeling each other out. Waiting to see how they would attack and react. But it wasn't long before the Milaca defense started to make an impact on the game flow. They turned up the heat and the takeaways lead to points and this allowed them to pull away. And by the time halftime rolled around the Wolves were up 34-13.
The 2nd half was much of the same for the Wolves, stout defense and offense capitalizing on the takeaways. Milaca put on a dominant performance and continued to build on their lead. Soon the lead was over 30 points and the JV players for both squads were able to play some varsity minutes. The Wolves win their 10th in a row 67-32.
With the win they put themselves in a spot with an even better chance of taking the top spot in the section away from Foley. The Wolves wrap up the regular season at home tonight against Holdingford.
