Mora hosted the Falcons of Foley on Friday night for the final regular season game for both teams. Foley came in looking to keep pace and hold on to their 10-seed in Section 6AA, whereas the Mustangs were looking to hold on to their 4-seed in Section 7AA.
The game was very fast paced. There were very few foul calls throughout the game. With the officials allowing the teams to play, it was smooth play for the entire 36 minutes.
It was back and forth for the entire game. Neither team was able to create distance. Mora held a slight 29-27 lead at the halftime break.
Foley started the second half on a small run. This was the story throughout the game for each team. But this allowed the Falcons to build a slight 32-29 lead.Â
After that, both teams took their turn in the lead. Nobody had more than a six point advantage.
With a late surge, Foley took the lead for good. The Falcons ended up taking this game 58-55.
Foley finished the regular season 9-17 and will travel to Melrose on Tuesday for the first round of the 6AA playoffs.
Mora finished their regular season 17-9 and will host International Falls on Monday night for the first round of the 7AA playoffs. That game will start at 6:00 and will be live on Nice 95.5 KBEK.
