Mora Falls to Pine City

The Lady Mustangs hosted Pine City on Friday night.

These two teams met a week before and the Dragons were able to hold on for a tight win. But this time the game was in Mora, with alot on the line. Not just a conference win, but a section win, which would help both teams elevate their seedings for playoffs.

The 1st half of the game saw Pine City get the lead early, but Mora kept themselves within a few possessions. Both teams battled it out, Pine City held the lead but could never really get into rhythm. The Mustangs continued to keep the Dragons on their heels, but couldn't quite find their opportunity to swing momentum to their team. At the half Mora trailed 33-20.

The 2nd half was a different story. The Dragons offense finally broke through and they were off and running. They were able to get the offense out to a faster pace and that was thanks to their rebounding on the defensive glass. Mora couldn't find the same success as Pine City, but continued to battle. As the half wore along, the Dragons had pull out to nearly a 30 point lead and had everything going their way. The Mustangs never hung their heads or gave up and played hard till the very end. But it was the Dragons who won the game 79-52.
