A shooting by St. Croix Falls Police has left one man dead over the week.
According to law enforcement, Officers were called to the Dalles House Motel around 9:44 p.m. Saturday with a report of a woman needing help.
St. Croix Police said when officers arrived at the room, a man with a knife exited. The man then refused commands to drop the knife and was reported to have rushed an officer who shot the suspect. The suspect later died at the scene.
The female victim was found in the room with several stab wounds to her neck and chest. She was airlifted to a metro hospital.
The Barron County Sheriff’s Office is investigating the shooting.
