The Mora School Board has voted to require all students, staff and visitors to wear masks during school hours starting next week.
This decision comes after the school district as well as Kanabec County has seen an increase in positive COVID cases.
Mora High School Principal Brent Nelson touched on what the district’s goal is with the renewed mandate.
"If all students are masked, there won't be a quarantine. We are taking some precautions so we can keep kids in the building."
The school will also require students and staff who are in close contact and are not masked or vaccinated to quarantine for up to 10 days.
The decision will be evaluated again next month, the mask mandate begins on Monday, September 27th.
