Mustangs Get Past the Bombers

A highway 65 battle ended in a victory for the Mora Mustangs. Mora defeated their conference foe, Braham Bombers in a three-set sweep. 25-22, 25-16. 26-24.The Mustangs improved to 7-4 on the season.

Mora once again showed their senior leadership with their minimal mistakes. Forcing Braham to play perfect volleyball. How the Mustangs worked together to put players in position to succeed was once again on display. Avery Ennis was the Pine Insurance Agency player of the game. She is suited well in setting up her front row hitters to get clean shots.

Braham fell to 2-9 following the loss. With that being said, the Bombers made the Mustangs work for their seventh win. Holding close for the majority of the match. That along with coming all the way back from an 8-1 deficit in the third set to tie the set at 24 kept the Mustangs honest. There is a lot of young talent on the Bombers just waiting to get over the hump. Showing improvement, Braham will be a tough out the rest of the season.

Up next for Braham will be Pine City at home on Thursday night.

Mora will take part in the Pierz tournament this coming Saturday.
