Mustangs Sweep Hibbing on Senior Night

The Mora Mustangs and Hibbing Bluejackets faced off in a nonconference match on Thursday night. Mora came in to the match 15-9 on the season following a victory over East Central on Tuesday. Hibbing was 5-13 after a loss to Chisholm the past Thursday.
It was senior night in Mora and Mustangs came out strong and didn’t take the foot off the gas for the majority of the night. The Pine Insurance player of the game was Alice Anderson. Anderson notched three aces to go with her nine kills.Mora had contributions from up and down the lineup. Another key contributor was Jenna Lukenbill who added seven kills of her own.
Hibbing had some success on the night. Getting off to early leads in each of the three sets. They also closed the sets very well, making the Mustangs earn it.
Hibbing fell to 5-14 and will travel to Grand Rapids on Tuesday night to finish their regular season.
Mora improved to 16-9 and will head to Aitkin to finish the regular season.
