Unofficial results: Heggernes wins special Mora school board election

Matt Heggernes is poised to continue serving on the Mora School Board after winning a special election Tuesday to fill a vacancy.

According to unofficial results from the district, Heggernes received 169 votes out of 282 cast.

Kimberly Hodson received 52, Tina Akers received 45, Brett Parson received 13, and Marci Jenson received 3.

Heggernes has previously served on the board, and has filled the seat in an interim capacity after a winning candidate in November's general election declined to serve.

The results will become official when the Mora School Board meets on May 22 for canvassing.
