A car chase involving Pine and Chisago County Sheriff ended just outside of Pine City earlier today.
The chase began when Pine County Sheriff's deputies attempted to stop a vehicle which the driver was reported to have a warrant out for their arrest. The driver then headed south into Chisago County before fleeing north back into Pine County.
The suspect managed to evaded law enforcement when they abandoned the vehicle on Cross Lake Road near Northern Road and continued on foot.
In a press release from the Pine County Sheriff said, "there is no reason to believe the community is at any enhanced risk."
