Hillman Township Voices Opinion With Meeting Vote

Residents in attendance for Hillman Township’s meeting this past Tuesday made their voices heard in regards to a dispute with the Crisman family and their gravel township road.

According to the Star Tribune, a resolution was passed directing the board to dismiss the township’s appeal to a recent court ruling regarding the dispute, create a turnaround for the school bus and continue regular maintenance.

The ruling back in November ruled in the case that the township would be blocking the family from potentially public services such as emergency vehicles and would be leaving the family in the hands of others whom would make it hard to access their home.

Hillman Board Chairman Ryan Martens stated during the meeting that the resolution was conducted illegally without proper notice with advertisement, packed the meeting with supporters and that voters had no legal footing to dismiss the lawsuit.
