31-year-old Jackson Johnson of Mora has been indicted on murder charges following the death of Christeen Jo Massey back in Febuary.
According to the criminal complaint, Johnson had allegedly strangled Massey in a hotel room back on February 11th. Authorities believed that Jackson and Massey had been in a relationship in which law enforcement had been called out to deal with domestic assault allegations numerous times.
A grand jury indicted Johnson on one count of first and second degree murder, believing the pattern of abuse, evidence and circumstances led to an extreme indifference to human life.
The next court date is a contested omnibus hearing which is scheduled for mid August.
