The race to fill late Commissioner Anderson’s seat on the Kanabec County Board will be a full one to start for the primary.
Nine residents from the Mora area have thrown their names into the ring for the District 2 seat. Residents had until February 1st to file as a candidate.
Since more than two people have entered the race, a primary will be held on April 12th which will narrow the field of candidates down to two where an August 9th election will determine a winner.
The elected official will finish out the remainder of Anderson’s term which goes until 2024.
