The city of Milaca discussed the addition of an Electric Vehicle Charging Station.
East Central Energy reached out to city officials about providing an Electric Charge station in Recreation Park which could draw electric drivers to the area.
ECE would provide the charger and rebate up to 50% percent of the installation cost, with the city taking care of the energy costs for charging.
Council touched on how the park board was split on the idea, with some saying the one station the city currently has meets the needs of the area and it would be another station the city is on the hook to pay for.
The city council voted to deny the motion and will hear more on the subject at another time.
