Mora Education Foundation Fundraiser Set For End of August

The Mora Education Foundation will be hosting their annual fundraiser later this month and they are looking for community members to come out to support.

The foundation was founded back in December of 2003 as a 501(C) non-profit and has given out over $420,000 worth of funding for students and educators over the past nearly 20 years.

Foundation member Susan Scheer-Dhein stated that the foundation is more than just funding for projects and needs.

"Its community involvement, its not just about money for teachers. Its about connecting the community organizations, people in the community with learners. Its not just about kids at the school district, its about all learners in the school district area."

This year’s fundraiser is Monopoly themed with both live and silent auctions as well as a provided dinner. The event takes place on Wednesday, August 24th from 5:30 p.m. to 9 p.m. at the Event Center. Tickets are $50 and members ask that you bring a food item for donation.

For more information on the event, you can check out the Mora Education Foundation website.
