The Rush City Area Chamber of Commerce & Rush City Green Steps have started a Bags to Benches event.
With a partnership with Trex, collected plastics will be recycled and turned into benches for use at the City Park.
Various plastics including grocery bags, salt bags & bubble wrap, will be accepted and all donated plastics should be cleaned and free of organic materials before drop off.
Some of the drop-off locations include Rush City City Hall, Rush City Liquors and the VFW.
