Fatal ATV Accident Occurs in Pokegama Township
A fatal ATV accident in Pokegama Township on Sunday just after 9 o clock at night.
The driver, Andrew Henley of Grasston, struck a parked vehicle and was ejected from the ATV.
The accident remains under investigation at this time.

Flag Football League Signup for Youth Players
A chance to join a local flag football season in Pine City is tomorrow.
The Pine City Athletic Association is sponsoring a flag football season for students kindergarten through 3rd grade.
It’s $10 per player to join, and volunteer parent coaches are needed.
Practices for the league start tomorrow, September 7th, and
end Tuesday October 3rd with a game during halftime of the varsity homecoming game October 6th.

Charges: Sandstone Childcare Provider Admitted to Sex with 16-Year-Old
45-year-old Michelle Shank of Sandstone has been charged with third degree criminal sexual conduct after telling authorities she had sexual intercourse on several occasions with a 16-year-old.
Pine County Attorney Reese Frederickson outlined the relationship between Shank who was a child care provider and the minor.
While Shank initially denied what the teen had told authorities, she eventually admitted to the accusations.
After the charges were filed, the Minnesota Department of Humans Services immediately suspended order of Shank's license to provide family child care.
Shank faces up to 15 years in prison and/or $30,000.
She’ll face her first appearance in court in a month.
