Pine City HS Gears up for Homecoming 2017

Every year local schools welcome back previously graduated seniors for homecoming, and Pine City will do so this week.

Homecoming week in Pine City features a vast array of different celebrations, said Principal Troy Anderson.

Anderson added that one of the most popular and locally renowned is the homecoming tailgating.

Pine City High School’s Homecoming began last Thursday and will culminate on Friday with a football game against Mora which can be heard on 106.5 FM and AM 1350 WCMP, followed by the dance.

Health Screening in North Branch for Free

The senior center in North Branch is offering free screening services coming soon.

The free health screening will take place on Thursday, October 12th from 1-3 pm at the Senior Center in North Branch.

Things being screened will be balance, blood pressure, memory, stroke, nutrition, hearing, depression and sleep.

The screening is being offered to everyone 50 years of age and older.

Mora Oktoberfest

An annual Oktoberfest celebration is happening in Mora.

Zion Lutheran Church will be putting on their Oktoberfest on Saturday, October 7th from 4:30-6:30.

There will be a large and wide assortment of food and drinks available.

German music and a craft fair will be present also.

Proceeds will benefit Kick Cancer to the Curb and Wigs for the Cure.
