PRESS RELEASE
SANDSTONE-THEFTS
OCTOBER 3, 2017
At 7:30 am on October 3rd the Pine County Sheriff’s Office responded to a theft complaint at the Sandstone Post Office. The large blue mailbox outside the building had been pried open and the contents taken. The Post Office empties the mailbox at 3:00 PM daily. If you deposited mail after 3:00 on Monday afternoon it was stolen and not delivered.
Also, the city bill pay boxes at the Sandstone public library were found to have been broken into as well. Residents who may have deposited their payments into those boxes should check to ensure their payment was received and not stolen. Anyone with information on these incidents is asked to contact our office at 320-629-8380. Thank you.
