Operation Community Connect: FREE Flu Shots and more
Operation Community Connect is a one-day opportunity to benefit those experiencing homelessness and other challenges of poverty to receive help.
Participants receive a hot meal, free flu shot and other health screenings, and more.
They’ll also be able to take winter clothes, jackets, and blankets.
The event is Tuesday, October 24th from 10 am until 2 pm at the Hinckley Community Center.

Mental Health Forum with Congressman Nolan
Earlier this week was world mental health day, and the issue will be addressed locally early next week.
A community mental health forum is being held featuring Congressman Rick Nolan and others, with a free dinner, resources, Q&A, and childcare will be provided.
The forum will be held on Tuesday, October 17th from 5-8 pm at Grand Casino in Hinckley.
The night is hosted by Pine County Chemical Health Coalition, the University of Minnesota, and others.
Pine Dragons PTO Meeting
The Pine Dragons Parent Teacher Organization is holding one of its four yearly informational sessions next week.
The Pine Dragons PTO invites all Pine City Elementary Parents to become involved with the organization, with many different ways to pitch in.
The upcoming meeting’s topic of discussion will feature the food service director.
In addition, a movie night for students kindergarten through 6th will be held.
The meeting is October 16th at 6 pm at the Elementary School Media Center.
