Every year families in need struggle to get by during the holidays, and often are unable to give their children Christmas gifts.
Toys for Tots aims to combat that issue.
Local coordinator Julie Samuelson said that the program has been incredibly successful in its efforts, giving over 550 kids toys through last year's program alone.
She added that the final chance to donate will give something to donors as well. The "Birthday Party for Jesus" event at Pizza Pub hosted by Hands for Pine City will be the last chance to donate before Christmas, and donors will get a free meal as well. That event takes place Sunday, December 10th from 5-7 pm.
There are various upcoming events to donate to Toys for Tots, including the Holiday Madness Parade in Pine City on December 2nd, the "Birthday Party for Jesus", and local locations across Minnesota.
