A local school district superintendent has been named the Minnesota Superintendent of the Year award.
Dr. Deb Henton of the North Branch School District received the award and is now eligible for the national award as well.
Henton’s work and accomplishments in the district recently include higher standardized testing scores, updated buildings, and better support of student, staff and families.
She is also one of the founders of the North Branch Area Education Foundation.
Henton has been serving as the Superintendent for North Branch Area Public Schools since 2007.
