Dragon Hockey Earns First Win of Season

Boys Hockey

The Pine City Area Dragons skated out of the Civic Center tonight with a 3-1 win over St. Paul Highland Park. The Dragons first win of the season did not come easy. Pine City went down early after Alex Fadden scored the games first goal giving the Scots a 1-0 lead heading into the first intermission. The Dragons answered back in the second period when senior TJ Roth netted his third goal of the season. The game went into the final period tied at one goal a piece. Then just 4:08 into the third period sophomore George Miller scored his first varsity goal to give the Dragons a 2-1 lead. The lead would hold all the way until the final minute when Miller filled the empty net putting the game on ice for Pine City. Goalie Logan Belau picked up the win in his first real test as a varsity goalie. Final Score: Dragons 3 Scots 1.
