Mora Man Dead After Multi-County Police Chase

A Mora man is dead following a chase with authorities this morning.

37-year-old Christopher Podvin was being pursued by Kanabec County deputies into Aitkin County when he crossed lanes and collided with a large truck.

The collision occurred on Highway 65 in Williams Township in Aitkin County.

The driver of the large truck suffered non-life threatening injuries while the man being pursued died at the scene and was not wearing a seatbelt.
