A recurring scam in the region has begun popping up once more, targeting East Central Energy customers.
Some business customers have received calls from scammers claiming to be ECE employees, and threatening to shut off electricity unless a payment is made.
In addition, they were given a number to call to make said payment that was not associated with ECE.
If you do receive one of these calls, hang up and contact the energy provider to verify your account and report the scam.
