This evening law enforcement and volunteers ended their search for a man who went overboard into Sturgeon Lake over the weekend.
The body of 28-year-old John Fanning was found in Sturgeon Lake Monday evening. On Saturday Fanning dove into the lake to retrieve an item that fell in, and never came back to the surface.
Authorities began their search after the call came in on Saturday afternoon and continued with multiple agencies involved. A large group of volunteers also amassed on the lake and the shoreline, searching on dry land as well.
