Isanti County emergency personnel responded to a crash involving a car and a dump truck near Isanti on Monday afternoon.
The collision occurred when a driver heading north bound on Flamingo Street pulled in front of a dump truck driving east bound on 285th Ave NW.
The driver of the car has been identified as 29-year-old Alexander Hoss.
Emergency personnel responding to the scene found that the impact had split the car Hoss was driving in two. Hoss was not wearing a seat belt at the time of the crash and was ejected from the vehicle. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
The driver of the dump truck was not injured.
The crash remains under investigation by Isanti County Sheriff’s Office.
