The body of a duck hunter has been found near Nature Ave, south of Highway 70.
38-year-old Matthew Neshek of Pine City was reported missing 11:00 a.m. Thursday, Oct. 11. A team consisting of the Pine City Fire Department, Minnesota State Patrol, DNR, National Park Service, Wisconsin DNR, North Star K9 and Rescue organization searched the areas until dark Thursday night.
The team resumed their search Friday morning where they found the body of Neshek at 9:30 a.m. floating in a pound 50 yards from shore.
Neshek's body was transported to the Midwest Medical Examiner's Office. No foul play is suspected.
