Sixth graders at Pine City Elementary School raised $1320 for charity last week.
The funds were raised during penny wars, a grade-wide fundraising challenge to see which class can raise the most pennies.
The challenge works with pennies increasing the participants score and quarters, dimes, or nickels taking away from the participants score.
The $1320 raised by the sixth grade students was split between Toys 4 Tots and the Dragon Food Shelf.
