One man is dead and another is left in critical condition after a collision in Polk County.
At about 4:30 Tuesday morning, deputies were called to a two-car collision on Highway 35 a quarter mile north of 140th Ave.
Kenneth Jones of St. Paul was traveling northbound when his Saturn Ion crossed the center line and struck a Chevrolet Impala that was traveling southbound. The Impala was driven by Dustin Coury of rural Balsam Lake.
Jones was declared dead at the scene.
Coury sustained severe injuries from the crash. A gofundme has been set up to help pay for Coury's medical bills.
The crash is under investigation by the St. Croix Falls police department and Wisconsin State Patrol.
