The Dragons high powered offense was too much for Rebels. Pine City turned a 5 point lead at half time into nearly a 25 point lead in the second half and cruised to the victory. "We knew we were in for a good battle as the Rebels have had a nice season. In the end our constant pressure both on offense and defense along with our size proved to be the difference." Both Ellie Hasz and Lily Wilson had double doubles in the game. Hasz had 26 points and 10 rebounds while Wilson had 19 points and 10 assists. Sophie Lahti was also in double figures with 11 points and 3 assists. Ashley Faur had 7 points and 5 rebounds. Hannah Lorsung had 4 points and 4 rebounds. Hannah Husom had 3 points. Meredith Kolling had a big night with 8 rebounds to go with her 2 points. Alaina Steele, Chloe Alleman and Emily Carpenter also had 2 points on the night. "It was a good road win. We have kids that are doing the little things that don't always show up on the stats sheet but are vital to team success."

The Dragons celebrated senior night with a big conference victory. "We can't say enough about our 5 seniors Chloe Alleman, Emily Carpenter, Hannah Husom, Hannah Lorsung and Jolie Wicktor. These yound ladies have been great captains this season and have been instrumental in helping the program be a great success for many years. The foundation that they have helped create will keep our program healthy for years to come." The Dragons methodically pulled away from the Lions with a number of scoring runs in both halves. "When you can hold your opponent in the 30s it gives you a great chance to win." The Dragons had great scoring balance with 6 players scoring between 8 and 14 points. Ellie Hasz had 14 points, Hannah Lorsung and Lily Wilson each had 11 points. Alaina Steele had 10 points. Chloe Alleman and Sophie Lahti each had 8. Rounding out the scoring was Hannah Husom and Jolie Wicktor with 3 points each. Ally Chromey and Ashley Faur had 2 points each while Meredith Kolling had one. Sophie Lahti had a huge game on the boards with 12 rebounds. Lorsung had 7 rebounds, while Hasz and Wicktor each had 5. The Dragons really shared the ball well tallying 21 assists. The Dragons had a dominating first half, leading 46-21 at half time. "The kids came out focused. They know that playoffs are next week and they played like a team that is ready."

"It was a great way to end the regular season. We were able to get a lot of playing time for everyone and 11 kids got in the scoring column." Hasz had 20, Wilson 12, Alleman and Lorsung had 9 each, Lahti had 8, Chromey, Faur, and Kolling each had 4, While Steele, Husom, And Kloey Lind each had 2 points. "We have kids that really understand their roles. For example, Alaina Steele, Emily Carpenter and Sophie Lahti often are asked to guard some of the other teams best players and they take pride in holding them down." There are many other examples of kids playing their roles with this group as well. That is why this group is so special. They do everything they can for team success while not being concerned about themselves." As a coach, you want the season to go on forever when you have great kids to coach like we do."
