A missing Barron County man has been found dead in a cabin near Sandstone.
36-year-old Christopher Etchison was reported missing from Barron County since Friday, April 19.
In a press release, the Pine County Sheriff's Office said, they had received information from Barron Police that Etchison may be dead inside a cabin east of Sandstone.
Investigators identified a cabin on McDermott Creek Rd as the possible location. Deputies arrived at the cabin around 11:15 a.m. Tuesday (April 23) morning where they found the body of Etchison inside. The release said, "He was deceased with no obvious cause of death."
Reports say that authorities found signs of forced entry at the cabin; however, further circumstances surrounding Etchison's death have yet to be released.
The StarTribune is reporting that three individuals have been arrested in Barron County in connection to the death. An 18-year-old man on suspicion of battery, identity theft, and resisting law enforcement. A 20-year-old man on suspicion of identity theft, resisting law enforcement and parole violation. The Baron Police had also jailed a woman for obstruction.
Charges for the three individuals are currently pending.
