Three men are in jail after a passerby noticed suspicious activity at an abandoned house near Hinckley.
According to a press release from the Pine County Sheriff's Office, a deputy was flagged down by a motorist early Thursday morning after they saw a car parked on a property that was known to be abandoned.
The deputy responded to the house and found the suspect vehicle and two males in the driveway. One suspect took off running from the home into a field/wooded area, and the deputy detained the other, as well as a third in the vehicle.
Pine County K9 Chewy was called in and able to track the suspect who ran off to a field east of the home.
An investigation of the property revealed that the house and outbuildings had been entered and items, including copper wire, had been taken.
All three men were taken into custody on burglary charges.
