Women Charged in the Assault of Braham Infant

A 21-year-old woman has been charged in the assault of an 18-month-old boy in Braham.

The Isanti County Attorney's Office has charged Alicia Dolores Mohrland with first-degree assault.

According to a report from Kare 11, Mohrland threw the infant over eight feet into his playpen because he wasn't eating and throwing a temper tantrum.

The boy was initially believed to be brain dead, but Children's Hospital in Minneapolis indicates that the boy is now in stable condition with severe injuries.

Mohrland is currently being held at the Isanti County Detention Center on $500,000 unconditional bail, or $250,000 conditional bail. The conditions of her bail are set by the court.
