The Pine City Dragons tennis team traveled to St. Cloud yesterday, to play St. Cloud Cathedral.
The Dragons played in summer like conditions. Despite the wind, heat, and humidity the girls battled hard in their matches. The Dragons came mentally focused and the singles team was dominate. The four singles players only dropped a total of six games between all four positions. The doubles team used the wind to their advantage, crashing the net and playing aggressively. Coach Kristin Unverzagt said “I am proud of the girls for their shot choices and dictating the game for their opponents.”
The Dragons shutout their opponent 7-0. The Dragons will head to Aitkin to battle the Gobblers on Thursday at 4:30pm.
