Pine County K9 Finalist in Vested Interest in K9s Vehicle Giveaway


The following is a press release from the Pine County Sheriff's Office:

"Deputy Borchardt and K9 Chaos have been named one of 30 finalists in the Vested Interest in K9s, Inc. – K9 Law Enforcement Sports Utility Vehicle Giveaway. K9 Team Chaos will compete for public votes to win a new Chevy Tahoe SUV with Police Pursuit Package and additional K9 unit customizations – a prize worth up to $50,000.

“The County’s support was integral in restarting the K9 program. We are asking you to vote so that this valuable resource can continue to provide service to the county,” Pine County Sheriff Jeff Nelson

The public is invited to vote once per day for K9 Team Chaos on the charity’s contest page. Public voting runs from 08:00:00 AM, October 1, 2019 to 07:59:59 AM EST October 31, 2019. The K9 team with the most votes by the end of the contest wins the new Chevy Tahoe SUV. Cast votes and view official rules here www.vik9s.org/suvgiveaway. The winner will be announced on the Vested Interest in K9s website and social media sites.

Vested Interest in K9s, Inc. is a 501c (3) charity, located in East Taunton, MA. Their mission is to provide bullet and stab protective vests and other assistance to dogs of law enforcement and related agencies throughout the United States.

The non-profit was established in 2009 to assist law enforcement agencies with this potentially lifesaving body armor and other services for their four-legged K9 officers. Since its inception, Vested Interest in K9s, Inc. provided over 3,500 protective vests, in 50 states, through private and corporate donations, at a value of $5.7 million dollars."
