One is in custody after a suspect led Chisago County authorities car chase and foot pursuit Friday morning.
The chase started after deputies attempted to stop a car going 90 MPH on I-35. The pursuit continued westbound onto county road 17 and into North Branch before a deputy performed a pit maneuver and sent the suspect into a cornfield.
The driver then fled the scene but was located hiding in a tree by a K9 team and arrested. It was later discovered that the suspect had a revoked license, had been drinking, and had a Wisconsin Department of Corrections warrant.
The North Branch Police Department, Lakes Area Police Department, and Wyoming Police Department also assisted in the pursuit.
