2025 Election Results: Referendum attempts fail in Cambridge-Isanti, Princeton, Willow River school districts

Here are the preliminary results from local elections.


Cambridge-Isanti School District referendum


Question 1: 4,481 voted no (59.6%), 3,038 voted yes (40.4%).

  • Cambridge: 2,005 voted no, 1,720 voted yes.

  • Isanti: 2,476 voted no, 1,318 voted yes.


Question 2: 4,931 voted no (65.73%), 2,571 voted yes (34.27%)

  • Cambridge: 2,253 voted no, 1,462 voted yes.

  • Isanti: 2,678 voted no, 1,109 voted yes.


Willow River School District referendum


305 voted no, 190 voted yes.


Princeton Public Schools referendum


1,983 voted no, 1,404 voted yes.


Ogilvie School Board


Michael Crnobrna won with 102 votes (61.82%), Amanda Stevenson received 32 votes (19.39%), Susan Brown received 30 votes (18.18%), and one write-in vote was cast (0.61%).


Hinckley-Finlayson School Board


Jamie Hendrix, Heather Hanson, Angela Grochowski, and Toby Hickle were elected to four open seats on the school board.


Hendrix received 403 votes (14.29%), Hanson received 398 votes (14.11%), Grochowski received 336 votes (11.91%), Hickle received 325 votes (11.52%), Richard McNutt received 302 votes (10.71%), Shane Goddard received 290 votes (10.28%), Phillip Taggart received 253 votes (8.97%), Roberta Dunkley received 169 votes (5.99%), Samantha Dunkley received 161 votes (5.71%), Maria Costello received 97 votes (3.44%), Edward St. John Sr. received 81 votes (2.87%), and five write-in votes were cast (0.18%).


East Central School Board


Tasha Scullard, Angela Presley, Amber Benner, and Oliver Dykstra were voted to four school board seats.


Scullard received 59 votes (24.28%), Angela Presley received 58 votes (23.87%), Amber Benner received 58 votes (23.87%), Oliver Dykstra received 55 votes (22.63%), and 13 write-in votes were cast (5.35%).
