'25 Volleyball Playoff Outlook

Fall playoffs have begun!


Let’s see how our volleyball teams fared and who they’ll play.


Class A

Section 4


(6) Braham 9-17

The Bombers finished strong and earned a six-seed in their section. They will host the winner of Sejong Academy and St. Paul City on Thursday. The Bombers haven’t played either squad this season.


Section 5


(3) Mille Lacs 11-16

The Raiders picked up the third seed in their sub-section. They will host Upsala on Wednesday. Mille Lacs defeated the Cardinals at their home tournament on October 26th.


(5) Ogilvie 11-14

The Lions were slotted in the five-hole in their sub-section. They will travel to Hill City/Northland on Wednesday. Ogilvie fell to the Storm 2-1 at the Crosby-Ironton tournament on September 13th.


(7) East Central 3-20

The Eagles have the seven-seed in their sub-section. They will travel to Pine-River Backus on Wednesday. They have not played each other this season.


Class AA

Section 6


(6) Foley 17-6

The Falcons grabbed a six-seed in their section. They will host Osakis on Wednesday night. Foley has yet to play the Silverstreaks this season


(7) Milaca 17-8

Right behind Foley are the Wolves who are the seventh seed. They will host Holdingford on Wednesday night. Milaca beat the Huskers at the Upsala tournament October 16th.


Section 7


(2) Rush City 23-4

The Tigers will try to repeat as section champs coming from the second seed in their sub-section. They will host Great River Conference rival Hinckley-Finlayson on Wednesday night. Rush City defeated the Jaguars on September 16th.

(3) Mora 17-9

The Mustangs earned the third seed in their sub-section. They will host Duluth Marshall on Wednesday night. Mora and the Hilltoppers have not played yet this season.


(5) Pine City 6-21

The Dragons have the fifth seed in their sub-section. They will travel to Moose Lake-Willow River on Wednesday night. Pine City fell to the Rebels on October 9th.


(7) Hinckley-Finlayson 2-18

The Jaguars have the seventh seed in their sub-section. They will travel to Rush City on Wednesday night. Hinckley-Finlayson lost to the Tigers back on September 16th.


Class AAA

Section 4


(2) Chisago Lakes 15-9

The Wildcats earned the second seed in their section. They will host Minneapolis Edison on Wednesday night. Chisago Lakes have not faced the Tommies this season.


Section 7


(1) Princeton 23-4

The Tigers earned the top seed in their section. They will host Duluth Denfeld on Wednesday night. Princeton beat the Hunters in both matches they played this season.


(2) North Branch 17-11

The Vikings are the two-seed in their section. They will host Hibbing on Wednesday night. North Branch has yet to see the Bluejackets this season.


Class AAAA

Section 7


(8) Cambridge-Isanti 4-23

The Bluejackets have the eighth seed in their section. They will travel to Andover on Thursday night. Cambridge-Isanti fell to the Huskies back on August 26th.
