$63.7 million Chisago Lakes bond referendum fails in special election

Chisago Lakes school district voters rejected a $63.7 million bond referendum at Tuesday’s special election.
According to unofficial results from the district, the vote failed with 2,385 residents voting no, and 1,874 voting yes.
The precinct results broke down as follows:
Chisago Lakes Township: 960 yes, 1,239 no.
Lindstrom: 587 yes, 607 no.
Taylors Falls: 327 yes, 538 no.
The requested funding sought to address additions at the primary school, safety and security at Taylors Falls Elementary, the middle school, and high school, and various roofing replacement and parking lot improvements.
