North Branch residents interested in filling the council’s vacancy will have until the end of May to file after council accepted Councilmember Amanda Darwin’s resignation.
Late in April, Councilmember Darwin stated in her resignation letter that she has high expectations for the council and city but couldn’t continue when not being able to devote her full attention.
Interested residents have until Monday, May 23rd by 4:30 pm to file an application. The elected interim member will then serve until a special election can be held on Tuesday, November 8th in which the interim member will have to run if they wish to keep their seat.
