Area winter parking regulations to take effect Nov. 1

Winter parking regulations will be enforced once again starting on Saturday, Nov. 1. Here's a look at what that entails for municipalities across east-central Minnesota:

Pine City: There is no parking on any city streets from 2 a.m. to 6 a.m. from Nov. 1 through March 31.

Vehicles left on city streets during those restricted times are subject to being towed at the owner's expense. Any damage incurred by towing will be the owner's liability.

Mora: A city ordinance prohibits vehicles parking on city streets between the hours of 2 a.m. and 6 a.m. through March 31. Property owners and residents are also required to remove any snow and ice from public sidewalks adjacent to their property within 12 hours of a snowfall.

Braham: From Nov. 1 through April 1, no parking is permitted on city streets, city-owned parking lots, or public right of ways between 2 a.m. and 7 a.m.

Hinckley: Cars are not permitted to park on city streets or alleyways from midnight to 6 a.m., from Nov. 1 through April 15, in the Central Business District (defined as Main Street, 1st Street NE, and 1st Street SE between Lawler Avenue and County Highway 61).

Milaca: Vehicles are restricted from parking on public streets between Nov. 1 and April 1 from 1 a.m. and 6 a.m.

Cambridge: Winter parking is enforced from Nov. 1 through March 31, and parking is prohibited on any city street between 10 p.m. and 7 a.m.

Rush City: No parking is allowed on any city street from 2 a.m. through 6 a.m., or after any snowfall until the snow has been removed. The regulation is in effect until April 15.

North Branch: Residents and visitors cannot park on any city or public street within the city limits between 1 a.m. and 7 a.m. from Nov. 1 until April 1. After any snowstorm while city plows are out, residents and visitors cannot park on any city or public street after 7 a.m. until the street has been completely plowed and cleared of snow.

Residents and visitors also can't park in any city-owned or public parking lot within city limits between 2 a.m. and 5 a.m. from Nov. 1 until April 1, except with a valid parking permit issued by the city.

Isanti: Unless permitted by the City Council or Police Department, no person shall stop, stand, or park any vehicle or permit it to stand on any City street, including the snow emergency routes, from Nov. 1 through March 31, between the hours of 1 a.m. and 8 a.m.

Parking will be permitted on the streets between the hours of 6 a.m. and 8 a.m., provided that snow removal has been completed.
