Authorities Search for Infant Taken from Gas Station in Wyoming, Minn.

The child has been safely located, but authorities are still searching for Ben Tietz who is still believed to be driving the Silver Chevy Monte Carlo with Minnesota plate 572TZT.


Ben is a 37-year-old white male weighing 250 pounds wearing a black/grey hoodie.


Law enforcement believes that Ben is armed with large knives, but it is unknown if he has a firearm.

Authorities are searching for a six-month child who was taken from a gas station bathroom in Wyoming, Minn.


According to authorities, the child's mother was assaulted in a vehicle on I-35 before being assaulted in the bathroom.


The Chisago County Sheriff's Office said the suspect is 37-year-old Ben Tietz.


Ben is described as a 250-pound white male with facial hear, wearing a black/grey hoodie. He is believed to be driving the mother's 2002 Silver Chevy Monte Carlo SS with Minnesota plate 572TZT.


The suspect is the child's father, but he does not have any custodial rights.


Authorities also said that Ben is armed with large knives, but it is unknown if he has a firearm.
