Bluejackets Notch Section Win Against Forest Lake

The Cambridge-Isanti basketball team traveled to Forest Lake last night.


The Bluejackets have been one of the best teams in the state this year, and hold a 15-1 record. Their lone loss of the year was against the #5 team in the state, St. Cloud Apollo. Cambridge-Isanti dominated the 1st half. The Bluejackets scored 43 points while holding the Rangers to only 17. The Bluejackets continued to build on their lead in the 2nd half. Despite Forest Lake out scoring Cambridge-Isanti in the final half of play 41-35, the Bluejackets still came away with the victory 78-58. The Bluejackets were lead by Senior Henry Abraham with 33 points, he is 1st in the state in 3 points made(95), 2nd in points per game(33.1), 3rd in total points(563), 5th in assists(123), and 8th in steals(58) in all of Minnesota. Hunter Melander was second in scoring with 16.


Cambridge-Isanti improves to 16-1 with the win. They comfortably lead Section 7AAAA with a 22 point lead over Duluth East according to minnesota-scores.net. The Bluejackets will host Big Lake on Friday at 715pm.
