The Braham City Council appointed Jeremy Kunshier to fill a vacant council seat during a special meeting Monday night.
Councilmember Seth Zeltinger was one of two members that motioned for Kunshier's appointment, noting the need for consistency during Braham’s transition.
Kunshier was one of five applicants that sought the position after Ryan Davis resigned from the council in November.
He previously served on the Braham council between 2013 and 2020. He was appointed in a vote of 3-1 with Vicky Ethans being the lone nay vote.
Kunshier will serve until a special election can be held in 2022 to fill the remaining two years of the council term. Councilmember Ethans told the remaining applicants if they wished they could try and run again in November.
