The city of Braham approved of a new food wagon ordinance after a public hearing session earlier this month.
The ordinance gives food wagons the ability to operate on private property without a permit with all responsibility falling on the property owner.
Some on the council were worried that the ordinance could potentially take revenue away from permanent establishments so a provision was added, restricting food wagon operations within the city to 21 days in a year.
Council also noted that the new ordinance will not affect special or city-wide events such as Braham Pie Day.
